Picture of me and my son, Kyle
It is now five years ago this month (October 2018) that I was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. Twenty-nine years ago, I arrived home in October from a bone marrow transplant for recurring breast cancer. Needless to say, I continue to thank God for the miracle of life. And to celebrate these milestones with my son, Kyle, is very special.
God continues to do new things and this month I celebrate the launching of my new website: www.GeorgiaShaffer.com
One of the newest features is the Ministry Page featuring The Mourning Glory Minute, an online collection of one-minute videos on such topics as setbacks, loss and grief. As time and resources permit, I will add videos to what was once a radio feature. Then I’ll post them on this page of website (which you can also view on my YouTube Channel.
Right now one of my biggest hurdles is adding video to more than one hundred radio features I’ve created. The production costs are $55 per segment. To help defray these production cost, I’m inviting you to sponsor a Minute with a $55 donation to Mourning Glory Ministries. To see a recently sponsored segment, click on the Minute entitled The Empty Seat. With Thanksgiving and Christmas fast approaching, this feature highlights how to avoid what could be an awkward moment at your holiday dinner.
If you wish to sponsor a Mourning Glory Minute in remembrance or in honor of someone special to you, click on the Sponsor Here button at https://georgiashaffer.com/shop/sponsorship/mourning-glory-minute/). Fill out the form (be sure to include the name and one sentence about the person you want to remember or honor) and then complete the purchase. Mourning Glory Ministries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Please share the Mourning Glory Minute link with others! Thank you.
